Dear Diary.  Got up from in front of the TV & went out into the Real World.  It was sunny.  People were everywhere doing things that had nothing to do with mechanised death, columns of refugees or telling lies.  I mingled with some of them in the supermarket.  I bought a loaf of bread, some bottles of water & a couple of beers.  Walked home the long way, down the avenue where the plane trees grow.  Kicked a stone across the road; watched a cat stalking a squirrel; saw a green woodpecker flying back into the woods.  Came back into the house.  Turned on the TV...
