Dick Jones' Patteran Pages
A patteran is a coded configuration of leaves, sticks and stones left at the roadside by Gypsies to communicate with each other. This is my digital version, left for any passers-by...

ROSIE ERIN SEMPLE JONES - b. June 15th 2004

Rosie was born at 6.36 pm after something of an epic battle on Emma's part.  The second stage lasted no more than 6 or 7 minutes after which Rosie slid very readily into the world. Her eyes opened briefly & then she pronounced judgement vocally.  Keen students of British obscene salutations will notice what she's doing with the two fingers of her right hand.

Rosie weighs 7lb 14 oz & she looks uncannily like Reuben. The photo above does her no favours; I rushed it through Photoshop just to have some immediate evidence of the arrival of Rosie Erin.

Many thanks for the good wishes, folks.  Time now to try to grab back some of the lost hours.  Little real prospect, however: RE has a voice like a small chainsaw.

And so to bed...
