Now that it’s clear that we’re neither going to sling Rosie into the toybox with the rest of the recreational debris nor send her back to whence she came, he’s decided on diversionary tactics. He’s breezily confident at the moment that, as we veer between unstinting admiration & dry-mouthed horror, we’ll come to our senses & leave her in the supermarket.
