Dick Jones' Patteran Pages
A patteran is a coded configuration of leaves, sticks and stones left at the roadside by Gypsies to communicate with each other. This is my digital version, left for any passers-by...

CONSUMATUM EST

36 candidates, 13 play extracts & self-written pieces, two whole days preparing & performing them.  And when it was all over, my colleague R & I stood in the middle of a stage empty of people, as we had done so many times before during the past 11 years.  We looked around at  the wreckage & reflected ñ past shows, sets built, kids taught, last nights. Closure: I wobble off towards retirement & R deals with redundancy.  Year Zero in the Theatre, as in the rest of the schoolÖ
