Not much from rich today. I'm tired and I'm depressed. The impending expiration of my GSA contract with US PACOM occurs on March 31. That's Monday. Whereupon I join the rolls of the unemployed (maybe). Re-up'd??? They don't tell this mushroom anything.
Sad, sad, sad. Where can you find a job where management requires that I leave after a mere eight hours? Where can you find a job located eight miles from my house? (Traffic jams are notorious here in paradise.) Where can you find a job that permits working hours from 05:00 to 13:30? Where can you find a job where you are both respected and appreciated? Where can you find a job where they pay you almost what you think you're worth? They couldn't do without me right? Right? Like pulling your finger out of a bucket of water.
So, just this from my work email today (I don't make this stuff up):
ID CHECK POINT AT SAND ISLAND Matson's Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) was notified that the US Coast Guard and State Harbors Division will establish an ID Check Point on Sand Island Access Road prior to coming over the bridge to the VPC facility. There will a potential delay. Picture identification will be required for all individuals requesting access to the harbor area.

For those of you unfamilier with Hawaiian geography, this email refers to a public road - the place you go to ship an automobile. It incites images of some foreign country; maybe Iraq or Afghanistan or pre-Russia or pre-East Germany, yes? It does not sound like Hawaii, USA!
Is this a temporary or is this a permanent intrusion into my right of free, well, anything? Where does it end? Wow! I'm not depressed anymore. Now I'm just plain mad!
