I spent another entire afternoon occupied with yet another trip to the motherland that is Honolulu - replete with the requisite two hours stuck in traffic. I will never understand anyone that can put up with that ride on a daily basis. Hopefully, in this case, it will be worth it in the long run. I spent the afternoon with my loan officer putting fifty odd signatures on hundreds of pieces of paper containing text in some foreign language. In our particular case the exercise was a necessary one in order lock in and finalize a refinanced mortgage rate to the tune of 4.75% - a rate which I haven't seen in my lifetime thus far and will likely not see again.
The good news is that my wife can now make the mortgage payment herself. I'm sure you can imagine why that's a good thing right about now in the economy that we all share.
Must celebrate now.
P.S. Did anyone catch a strange post from Au Courant today? Caught just the beginning of Matt's blog. (Was late for work.) Is this more bad news?
