Fun with your Computer?

Christopher Latham Sholes(1819-1890) Sholes was a U.S. mechanical engineer who invented the first practical modern typewriter, patented in 1868.
I've often wondered about how many people in this world know what my real name is? There are four of you. I've made that same mistake in my past too. That's when I changed ID's. This Salon neighborhood has been my fourth since 1974. My God, have blogs been around since 1974? Yes, obviously they have (but not many).... Continuously growing in population yet. Most of the kids who are writing them today probably weren't yet born at that time.

The stuff that we all just throw away in the year of 2005 is remarkable to me. Perhaps astounding those items lost - still in yet another time. Maybe I'm an old man but I do know that perhaps I've recently lost myself something that was irreplaceable to me. Maybe some of you don't even know what this thing in my garbage can is on (on the right)?

This electric Corona was sold to any student in 1974. I never used this one. I was a geek. Guess which one I used?
Perhaps I'm not intending to cover my real reason for this story. Perhaps this simple story might have existed as my epitome. Making mistakes, for example, using one of these machines while performing my part time job as newspaper editor was a very, very tedious act. Catch a picture of these rare antique machines now if you might imagine what one of them might be worth - none may ever potentially appear in those hoarily ancient ideas called museums or athenaeum.
