Mac OS 10.3

I updated my Mac OS X 10.2 to Mac OS 10.3. Which cost money. Here's a letter concerning some of my complaints. I can't email or feedback Apple and expect them to reply. I'm not sure if my warranty allows me to call them on the phone, so here it is for you...

If I open iTunes, and then quit it, if I try to open it again, the little arrow in the dock points to iTunes as though it's an open program, but it's not open, I can't access it. If I go to Force Quit, it's listed there, and if I try to force quit is says okay and acts like it's going to, or is, or has done it, but it hasn't. Then later it will say iTunes not responding, then I'll try to force quit again, and it's the same thing. If I try to restart or shut down, it won't let me. After a while, it says (in re iTunes) Logout has timed out. The application iTunes failed to quit and is not responding. If you wish to continue the Logout by Force Quitting the Application choose Continue. I choose Continue, and same thing happens. iTunes cannot be forced to quit and the computer cannot shut down or restart. I have to hold the power button down for ten seconds to reboot that way. Annoying!!!

Next issue: my computer makes more frequent and louder "crunching" noises.

Next issue: every once in a while, for no apparent reason, my computer starts making loud, fan-like noises. It builds and builds and builds, then it sort of dies out. The process takes 30 seconds to a minute, maybe. It's extremely annoying.

Next issue: sometimes when I turn my computer on, it starts up all fine, until this last bit, where it says "Login Window Starting" and then it just gets stuck there. Then I have to hold in the computer power button for ten seconds to shut down the computer. If I try to turn it back on, same thing happens. So, I turn it on holding down the Option key. Then I restart. This is an extremely annoying hassle.

What is going on? I just paid a ton of money to get 10.3 and I'm not sure of what the bonuses are, but these are the negatives. Since I've installed I've been directed a few times to update other things -- this could be the fault of those things? I don't know.

I can't get the Mail program to classify any mail as Junk.

This is all extremely annoying. Please help me.

Thanks,

Ted
