Zimbabwe's Ethnic Cleansing Now a Fait-Accompli

Racist, Genocidal, Election-Stealing Dictator

Mugabe

Today's meeting between Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and South African President Thabo Mbeki, Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo and Malawi President Bakili Muluzi reportedly ended with 'no progress'. The three African presidents had come to Zimbabwe for talks on how to end the economic and political crisis which has afflicted Zimbabwe ever since Mugabe began his ethnic-cleaning campaign of forcing white farmers off of their lands.

Mugabe has single-handedly reigned over the forced ethnic cleansing of Zimbabwe's white farmers so he could distribute their farms and homes to corrupt cronies in his ZANU-PF political party. He has presided over the collapse of Zimbabwe's economy, a fraudulent election and the international ostracism of his regime. In return he has continued to receive support from allies like Namibia's Sam Nujoma and Mbeki. These are the same leaders who after supporting Mugabe's ethnic cleansing come to nations in the West with their begging bowls extended, asking for aid and a 'new chance' from nations who's very values they deride as 'colonialist'.

Mbeki's 'silent diplomacy' has been a complete and utter failure. Instead of concessions from Mugabe Mbeki has received insults and the Zimbabwean people have received nothing continuing frightful oppression, rape and murder. Africa's refusal to condemn Mugabe and his treatment of his own people spells doom for any new aid from the US or the EU and thusly allows the horrific spiral of AIDS, corruption & poverty to continue unabated. Africa's diplomacy is a joke and needs to remove itself from tired allusions to 'colonialism'. The only colonialism in Africa today is that which Mugabe is effecting on his own people.
