Wild Turkey in Manhattan (and not the kind you drink)

I always like these kinds of stories about myriad wildlife making homes in America's cities. it shows how truly adaptable nature is and also re-connects us to the Earth. Here in Seattle we have many Peregrine falcons which cruise the skies, make babies and keep our pigeon population down. One time outside my office in Fremont I happened upon the victim of a Peregrine attack, at my feet lay a headless pigeon, sodden and freshly killed. It seems Peregrine falcons attack pigeons in mid-air by hurtling downwards at speeds reaching two-hundred miles per hour and tearing off the head of the bird, then they circle back upwards to catch the body as it falls. I guess my falcon missed it's pigeon.
