I Have Regular Bowel Movements!
This is Seattle City Council candidate Jean Godden's new campaign slogan. Well, actually it's not, but it should be.
Jean is running against a fellow female liberal Democrat who has been a voice for renters and others traditionally shut out of Seattle city politics. So what's her justification for running? Jean claims the whippersnappers on the council today are engaging in too much "foolishness" and she, as the elder stateswomen, can bring order back to the kindergarden that is Seattle's city council.
Jean obviously has some type of issue with being elderly because in her voters pamphlet statement she brags about attending aerobics three times a week. Like we care Jean. Her only claim to running is that she's old, and I for one feel the elderly already have too much influence on politics, both locally and nationally.
So keep taking those fiber supplements Jean, maybe we can look forward to hearing about the aches and pains of getting older once you resume your Seattle Times column.
