I went to yoga today after a more than two week break. This is Bikram yoga, you know, the "hot" yoga? Anyway, I almost passed out several times during the 90 minute session. My head was spinning and little white lights danced crazily across my field of vision. Still, I pushed myself and made it through with nary a stop. Yoga is like any exercise, you just have to jump back into it and start like you've never stopped.

The Political "Man Show"

                                                   As members of Congress look on, President Bush signs the Partial Birth Abortion Act of 2003 Wednesday.

                                                             No abortion for YOU!

Don't you just love this photo of Bush signing legislation banning late-term abortions? This legislation bans later-term abortions even when the women's life is in danger. What's missing from the picture?

Females, that's what is missing. Here we have a male president, surrounded by male legislators with a mean age of around 55, signing legislation that will have no effect on men, especially men of that age. It's tantamount to having a white president, surrounded by white, Southern congressmen, signing legislation enacting slavery (probably a secret wish of most Southern Republicans anyway.)

Who set up this photo-op? And what was worse were the dinosaurs scattered in the audience including Jerry Falwell, Lou Sheldon and Phylis Schafly. A veritable extreme right-wing extravaganza was what was held at the White House yesterday. I can only imagine the evil plots being hatched amongst that right-wing troika.
