The Homo Brown vs. Board of Education

Like it or not some sort of gay marriage is coming down the pipeline in MA, courtesy of the Massachusets Supreme Court.
I'm all for this and opposed to "Same Sex Unions" for the simple fact that by creating a different class of marriage-like arrangements you're setting up a "Separate but equal" doctrine which has already been found to be illegal under US constitutional law. There is no compelling state reason to dis-allow same sex marriage other than the desire by the majority to protect their own rights and privileges under current law. This does not present a compelling reason to maintain state or federal barriers to gay marriage in and un itself.
Yes, I myself don't have any desire to get married to another guy but I am happy for those that do. Go deal with all the stuff that marriage has to offer, including divorce, and then we'll see how many homos want to adopt this ritual of heterosexuality.
