The Obesity Epidemic

Blame McDonalds
Two words: Lose weight.
I read this story in the NY Times today, and it's terribly sad. Yes obese people deserve to be treated humanely and decently but the fact remains that obesity is a problem mainly caused by a lack of will, and not by outside factors. If I feel like I am packing on the pounds then I eat less and workout more. It's a simple law of physiology that to reduce weight one needs to reduce caloric input, it's not rocket science.
In our society which finds lots of candidates for blame, except the one usually at fault (in this case the obese individual) we've taken our lack of responsibility to new heights. It's not the obese person's fault it's Coca-Cola's fault! It's the federal government's fault, it's their parent's fault. WRONG! It's your fault if you're fat and only YOU can solve the problem.

South Beach Diet - Still Going
I haven't been blogging about this diet because it's pretty much the same thing, as far as food choices. I'm still on it, still feeling svelte and good, and exercising a huge amount as well.
It's interesting I've decided to do this during the holiday season, but it's really not stressful or difficult. I will allow myself a binge at Christmas but that's it, and then back on.
I'm going to weigh myself around Dec 15 and then I will report total weight loss and all of that.
