Tonsillitis
Remember when I said I had a hella sore throat and a fever? Well, the sore throat has escalated to the point that I was taking three Advil every 4 hours for the pain. In addition eating and drinking have become so painful that I've avoided them, even to the point of declining to go to dinner with the Good Doc and a friend last night, and anyone who knows me knows that I love food.
Today the Good Doc examined my throat with the help of a small reading light (thanks North Face) and a butter knife. The verdict? Tonsillitis. Not as acute as the picture above but still mighty painful.
So he called in a prescription for antibiotics and I'm taking Tylenol with codeine. I didn't have my tonsils out as a kid and never have had anything like this before, so who knows where it came from?
