Shooting up
I thought I was going to get shots in my ass but instead received three (Typhoid, Hep A and B) in my arms. I declined the rabies series and was told I didn't require Japanese Encephalitis so now I'm all set for India and the Philippines.

In other news I arrived home and was downstairs when I heard a loud "crack" from upstairs. I walked up the stairs to find one of our full-length glass doors which lead onto the deck in the process of shattering. There was no sign of a pressure crack and as I stared at the glass it developed a whole new series of cracks and spiderwebs. Very strange. My only hypothesis is that the heat of the direct sun caused it to shatter. A glass repair person is on the way but they have to order the piece so we may be looking at either a taped or boarded window until the new piece arrives late this week.
On an entirely different subject: why is it the Media gives so much credence to proven lies about John Kerry's service in Vietnam yet jumps to embrace the idea that the service records about Bush's time in the national guard are "forgeries?"

I'll tell you what, my slow-burning dislike of the media and its easily manipulated reporters has turned into a crystalline hatred of all of them, especially the hand-wringing Washington Post. If Kerry loses this election and we're stuck with four more years of Bush then we Democrats can point the finger at the press, which has allowed itself to become a tool of and prostitute for the Bush/Cheney campaign.
