Peachez

That's the name of the new little kitten we picked up at the SFSPCA on Saturday. She's a sweet little Siamese that I think will make a great addition to our household. We have two other cats and one loves Peachez and is already showing her the ropes, while the other growls and hisses, he'll come around eventually. The dynamic between them is going to be cool to watch, the other two cats are declawed while Peachez is not and will not be so. I'm hoping she turns into as fierce as a mouser as our other so she can help rid the forested slope behind our house of rats and mice.

Sunday we went to brunch at the top of the Bank of America building on the 56th floor. What an amazing view from up there. Basically it's a 180' degree view from Twin Peaks to Oakland with everything in between at your feet. We went with our sweet friend Brian and his new boyfriend Michael, a great guy with a beautiful square-cut jaw who is a 4th year medical student. They seem like they're really grooving on one another and I love seeing that, ir reminds me of when I was 23 and in love.

Not like I'm all jaded and shit, God knows I love my boyfriend. But there's real sweetness and light there when you love someone at that age. A pure, burning innocence and a belief they can do no wrong. Do you remember that? When the guy (or chick) you were in-love with was your whole world, like you were immersed in them. I like seeing it in Brian's face and I wish he and Michael all the best.
