Would you pay for sex?
This is a question that arose on my trip to India and the Philippines. Not for me of course, I have a boyfriend. But my co-worker is straight, and single and he posed that question to me in the Philippines. My answer?
Yes.
I'm a Libertarian. I believe people pretty much have the right to do what they want with their bodies and I don't consider prostitution to be exploitation of women, nor of men. That decrepit Andrea Dworkin-style argument lacks both substance and merit and has no grounding in reality.
While I haven't had sex for money I have had sex with men for other things, especially when I was in college, not so much spoken as unspoken. In the end it's all prostitution and the girl who fucks a guy after he takes her to a nice dinner or gives her an Asprey brooch is no different than the tired, old whore shivering on the corner of Hunts Point. Most of us have done it, one way or the other.

But back to my trip. My co-worker is an attractive, Southern California-style surfer boy, with the accent to match. Any chick would find him cute but his perspective was it would take too much work to land a girl for the night, and for $50.00 a day he could have a girlfriend the entire time we were there. I told him to go for it, and furthermore said if I weren't in a monogomous relationship I'd consider the same thing.
In the end he didn't have the time, and neither did I. Work takes a lot out of you and when you've got a wonderful, sexy Jewish doctor waiting at home guys like Ben (pic above) just don't seem to do it anymore.
