Nintendo Gameboy has a new gaming unit called "Advance SP". It's even more compact and it comes with a rechargeable battery unit and charger.
The local gaming store is selling this unit for $99. But if you trade in your old Gameboy Advance unit, you get $30 off the price.
This is where Taylor comes in. Taylor owned 2 Gameboy Advance units. I don't remember why. I think he bought the second one while we were on vacation last year because he forgot to bring his. Since Taylor is always rolling in dough, another $69 for a duplicate unit would be no big deal. So for the past year he's had 2 of them. One is white and he almost never plays it. The other is some purple color and it has a broken battery door and it's just grimy from being played all the time. When he changes the batteries in it, it takes a while. Because he has the broken door taped on with about 5 strips of scotch tape. He meticulously peels off all the pieces of tape, changes the batteries, and the puts on new tape.
I said "Say, why don't you trade in the purple one for a new Advance SP?" He said "No, I'm going to trade in the white one because I hardly ever use it".
"But...the purple one has a broken door"
"I know, but I never play with the white one"
"Talk to your Dad before you do that"
So after two days of wrangling, we went to the game store and gave them the white Advance Unit so he could buy the new SP.
Sheesh! Some people's kids!
