I get up this morning and I'm thinking "what am I going to write about? If I don't have something posted soon, I'm going to get feedback from Mensa Boy's office. They really don't like it when there's nothing new to read....hm hm hm..."
Then I come into the house from walking the dog and there on Good Morning America is a guy who sued his doctor because he had to wait for an appointment for 4 hours.
Food for the cynic!
So this guy, long greek name I can't pronounce, sues his poor doctor because he was left cooling his heels in the waiting room for 4 hours. He gets $250 from small claims court.
I guess my first question is...WHY DID HE WAIT??? Why didn't he just politely go up to the receptionist and say "gee, looks like the ole doc is a running a bit behind today. Any idea how long it might be? You don't? Tell you what, I think I'll just reschedule."
Greek man says doctors need to realize that patients' time is valuable too. Well, I'm thinkin' if gman's time is so valuable, why is he wasting it sitting in a waiting room for 4 hours and moreover, why did he waste even more of it going to cattle call in small claims court?
The doctor wrote a letter of protest to the arbitrator. He's concerned that this could start a wave of lawsuits like this.
Changing subjects...I was reading the Julie/Julia Project yesterday, which I haven't been doing so much because her language is a bit off-putting. I cruised through her comment section and found reference to this website:

Pretty funny. I didn't spend much time on it yesterday, but I think the kids and I will explore it in more detail over the next couple of days. It made me wonder if Mensa Boy has a twin out there somewhere. It's the kind of thing he'd do if he had time.
