It was quite a busy weekend around here. I didn't even call my dear old Dad yesterday for Father's Day.

Vacation Bible School started Sunday night, so we spent quite a bit of the weekend preparing for that. Mensa Boy is teaching the Youth class and they are making videos each day to illustrate the "Hero of the Day". The theme for VBS is "Hero Quest".  MB has gathered quite a collection of various computers and video recorders so that he can digitally edit all the recording.  Hopefully at the end of VBS each youth can have a CD with all the videos on it.

I am doing food.  I volunteered to be snack lady, but it morphed into a whole lunch thing, which has me a bit whacked out. Fortunately, I have a very talented and experienced person working with me on that...Peggy M.  She is able to produce for food for 40 out of nearly nothing. We ended up with food left over last night and enough money in the freewill basket to fund tonight.

So yesterday we had church, where MB was given a gift by the youth group for being the YOUNGEST FATHER present in the service! Where have all the young men gone? It's pretty bad when the youngest father in church is 44!

Then I went with Cassie and Peggy to Cassie's office and we put together the precinct envelopes for the Primary Run-off tomorrow. We got back from there just in time to stop at the grocery store for last minute supplies and then we go the church by around 5:30 to start putting food together.  Needless to say, by the time VBS adjourned for the evening at 9 pm, we were all rather tired.

Especially MB, who stayed up until 3 am editing the first video.

I have some book and movie reviews. I'll try to get to them Wednesday or so. I'm working the primary, so no blogging tomorrow.

Happy Father's day Doo-Dah-Day. Sorry I didn't call. I may call this morning before Taylor's swimming lesson.  You'll probably get your card today to. I didn't get to mail it until Friday. Yeah...sometimes I left stuff slip through my fingers.
