Well, I didn't kill anybody.  I did have to back up in the school parking lot, which you never never never want to do. But I had gotten myself into a pickle and had no choice. I was trying to pull into my parking spot and I turned too late and couldn't get by the bus next to mine.

But I only had 10 riders this morning.  I'll have many more. Usually the parents drive their kids the first day. This afternoon and tomorrow afternoon will be utter chaos, as parents don't pick up those same kids from school and the teachers try to figure out what buses they should be on.  Many of them won't have notified the school in advance, so we'll be making some guesses based on their home addresses.

Nate got off alright and now there are several new kids at the stop at the end of the driveway.  2 more families with high school/middle school kids have moved in up the street and they've learned from neighbors that the bus stops here.

And so here I am. Time to get to work. And then back to the school this afternoon by 1:45...when the fun begins!

Happy Birthday Jo and Jen, and remember... don't buy Benchcraft Furniture!
