I saw a blurb in the paper today about how you can get yourself made into a Bobblehead doll. Go to www.bobbleme.com. $41 seems like a good price to me. It would make a cute gift for someone.

Saturday Mensa Boy and I went to a movie. By ourselves. I'm not sure I remember the last time that happened. But it was not a movie my mom would care to see, and the kids were each invited to friends houses for overnights.  So we saw The Village. It's a good one. I asked the ticket taker if she'd seen it. "I don't DO scary movies" she said.  I did not think the movie was scary. A bit suspenseful, yes. Scary, no.  And I generally don't go see scary movies, either.

Warning: While I will not tell you how the movie ends, the following may reveal a bit more of the movie than you prefer to know before seeing it...

The problem was, we figured out the twist just a bit too early in the show. That was disappointing.  I really prefer to be totally stunned when the twist happens. But it was a good story.  We did find it a bit puzzling, though, that the village was a means for the inhabitants to escape from the crime of everyday life, but they ended up committing quite a bit of crime themselves.
