Yes, it's been several days.  It's been rather hectic here. Nate had a serious issue come up at the school and it took us several days to get it straightened out.  We also have another kid coming to our house with Taylor after school. And the bus driving. And the usual errands with an optometrist appointment thrown in there. And the new glasses both kids needed.

The usual "Mom stuff" has kept me from blogging. Hopefully the Labor Day weekend will prove to be a catalyst and we'll see a schedule settle in next week.  I anticipate being back to daily (or near daily) blogging by Tuesday, but DAD...it won't be early! I'll probably write around 8:30 my time. So don't be calling me at 8 o'clock and asking me what the heck I'm doing!

Speaking of "Mom stuff"...my Mom is leaving tomorrow.  I am a tad worried that we'll never have clean clothes again. She has done a lot of laundry around here. And she's made a lot of cookies...thus spoiling Mensa Boy...and she's pitched in with a lot of meals when I've come home from the bus just too hot and sweaty to care.  We are going to miss her very much. She and Dad will probably come back in the Spring. And when they do, she has to make a lemon meringue pie for Tony.  We happened to casually mention that she might make one for "feed the preacher night".  But she jumped the gun and made it a few days ago. So when Tony came last night he said something about it, and we all got very sheepish.

And so today is our last hurrah with Mom. We'll go out for lunch to the China Bistro in Stonecrest...which is most excellent...and we'll make pizza for supper.

I'll blog over the weekend, so keep an eye out. We have a couple movies here at home so I'll try to write about them. I just ran out of books, so I'll need to do some checking into that. We'll be home all weekend, watching the weather. I do hear now that this Frances thing may very well miss us altogether.  One other thing high on my list to catch "Amazing Race"...if they are still replaying it on Saturday nights. We missed the darn thing because it was played an hour early the other day!  Mom and I did catch the last 20 minutes, so we know how it came out. But that was only because I clicked on the tube to double-check the VCR setting.

That's it! It's wonderful outside today! 70 degrees, sun shining!
