Christmas Eve. It will be a busy day today. In a few minutes I'll start putting together the Swedish meatballs for supper. I'm worried that I won't have time this afternoon. We have church this morning, of course, and then I'm to go cover the Santa Toy run with the Pleasant Valley Fire Department. They are supposed to start delivering toys around noon. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'm not really planning to make all their stops with them.

Then I should run home and write the story right away. I need to call some folks from the other Indian Land fire department that did theirs yesterday and get some stats and quotes from them for the story. The paper sent another photographer to theirs. I couldn't disrupt my Jazzercise schedule, could I?

At 5 we'll have Christmas Eve supper of meatballs and noodles and Tony is coming. He'd like to have ambrosia, which I've had but never made, so I'll put that together this afternoon. He'll go off to church around 6:15 to get ready for the 7 o'clock service and we'll open gifts. We plan to go to the Lutheran Church's candlelight service at 9. Friends may meet us there. Perhaps this will become one of our new traditions...Methodists and Baptists going to the Lutherans at 9 on Christmas Eve. That would be cool. I'll take along my camera and see if I can get a photo or two to send to the paper.

Yesterday it was 70 again. So Nannette and I sat on the patio and consumed most of a bottle of Reisling. I wore my new Life is Good shirt that says "Happy Hour" on it. It was good.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
