Pat Robertson has started a 21 day prayer campaign for his Christian supporters to bring about regime change on the Supreme Court. Basically, he has targeted 3 liberal members of the court for either retirement or death. He is a bit vague about the specifics. He also does not name names but the details of those he is asking God to smite make it pretty clear who he is speaking about.
I am pretty sure that if in the next 20 days or so one of the targeted Justices should buy the farm or retire then Pat will mount up in his righteousness to proclaim that his prayers have been answered. Not only that but this will be proof to him that his attack on homosexuals and other groups or issues defended by the Supreme Court are valid.
However, I doubt that if none of the unnamed Justices has expired (lightening would be a nice flourish I guess) or retired I wonder if this will be a message to Pat that perhaps his interpretation of the bible and the Constitution are incorrect. Naw… I doubt that.
