Getting Categories to update Nav links

When you add a new link you need to go to each category and hit the submit button to get the nav links to update.

Keeping Baby Clean

I need to spend more time tidying up after the baby instead of trying to pour myself into her. Balance in all things is important.

There are some things about the radio metaphor that I am having problems with. Trying to manage my site is much more problematic to me than getting my ideas published.

There are two things that I wish worked differently.

When I am in desktop Radio I wish I could click on a category and get the edit box at the top like it is on my home page. It would be easier for me to further refine my organization of my ideas if I could view them that way. I like things consistant. Having the edit box at the top would be more intuitive.

The second thing is how the categories show up. First, I like having the radio buttons below the edit box. BUT, I would also like to be able to scan down the list of stories see which they are in. I do not know how many times I have booted a story into the editor just to check to see if the categories are correct.

Moving the stories to the categories so they do not show up on the home page would be best too. I am not sure but I think that this is something I can set, but I am not sure how to do that.

Something esthetic but helpful would be to slightly grey out the desktop browser version of Radio so that when you stupidly click on something that takes you to the public version you get a clue as to why things look the same but different.

Couple of things

The only way I think that I can get Baby to show up on the updates page is to be sure that I post both to my home page and to the category that my blog will permanently reside in until I either put it on my desktop junk folder, or delete it completely. The other thing that bugs me is that my categories show up on the list instead of my blog name. I think I saw something on the news list about this. I need to go see if I can figure it out. What I would like to see ideally is that each blog show up as a “Blog Baby” but if clicked on it will send the person to the category instead of the home page unless it is only on the home page.

The worst part is that the categories show up as the original names I gave them rather than the new topic names that they have evolved to. As I see it the only way to really change them is to create a totally new category, copy them back to the editor, and then boost them up to the new category and finally delete the category.

I don’t know. Maybe I am missing something. I sure would like to see the categories listed by the actual blog on the edit page. If I am not sure where I assigned them I have to boot them into the editor to get the check marks to show up. Maybe I need to present a few things I would like to see and send it to the list.

The other thing has to do with my desktop junk folder. It is working as I planned. I can take a piece of writing that I am not happy with and send it to the junk yard. I know that it is there as I can see it in my computer and when I pull up my categories list on radio it shows the number of files in there. From the cloud when I force it to show me junk, it is replicated there but empty.

I would like to be able to get there from the radio app. I think I can do that on the right side menu where the Cloud Links are. But I am not sure how to edit this side.

What is bar none the best about radio to me is the ability to track back to the post or link that brings people to this little site.

I learn much by studying that.
