Allen L Roland's Radio Weblog
A spiritual oasis for those who seek the ultimate truth and the true meaning and intent of love ~ in the context of a world in chaos and transition . My ongoing theme is always the truth , as I see it , and the exposure of lies, deception and manipulation wherever it exists. I remain firmly convinced that the world can no longer resist it's innate urge to unite and co-operate with one another and we are very close to the point where war must no longer be an option if this transformation is to occur. SUNDAY REFLECTIONS  6/29/03

I've always wanted to make a difference , to share my truth
and have it hit a chord that resonates with others .
I've always wanted to just be myself , as outrageous as that
might be , and know that it was enough !
I've always wanted to write from my heart , whether poetry
or prose, and have it be heard from within.
I've always lived on the edge and been a little crazy in living
my dreams ~ completely trusting myself ~ and now I am so
happy I had the courage to do that and to continue to sing
my song.
The robin doesn't sing because its happy ~
It's happy because it sings !

I borrowed the following from Apple Computer's website and decided to share it. It think it is absolutely appropriate for this moment.

The title is "Here's to the Crazy Ones"

Here's to the crazy ones.

The misfits.

The rebels.

The troublemakers.

The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules.

And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve
them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.

Because they change things.

They invent. They imagine. They heal.

They explore. They create. They inspire.

They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of
art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that's never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

While some see them as the crazy ones, others see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think
they can change the world ~
are the ones who do .

Politically the sleeping giant of America appears to be
waking up slowly to the deceptions and lies of an
Administration with a neo conservative agenda.

Richard Miles sent me this wonderful analogy as to where
we are, as a nation , today;

At the outset of WWII, Admiral Yamamoto told the Japanese High Command, "If we bomb Pearl Harbor, we must be prepared to win this war in no more than 6 months."
They asked why.  He said, "Because we will have awakened the sleeping giant."

America is again a sleeping giant, this time lulled to sleep by a deliberate effort on the part of its government.
However, it is a fitfull and restless sleep, and we are about to awaken again.

As for Emperor Bush ~ I leave you with these words from
Julius Caesar ( courtesy of Keith Andes ) ;

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip up the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind......And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded with patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader, and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I have done. And I am Caesar."
