THE POWER OF THE TRUTH
America is in a national crisis ~ having been willfully deceived for almost four years by the Bush administraton and a compliant press.
If it was not for the Internet the American people would still be living in ignorance.
The internet ~ drawing on the honesty of a foreign press, email organizations such as Tom Paine, Common Dreams, The International Clearing House, Truthout, Slate, etc as well as the tenacity of an army of bloggers, including myself, have been a conduit for the real facts ~ the truth of how a small cabal of neo conservatives have attempted to hijack our Democracy and Bill of Rights.
Teilhard de Chardin predicted the phenomenon of the Internet when he wrote of the emergence of the Noosphere ( where all minds would be connected almost intantaneously ) but he also spoke of it as a prelude to the Soulosphere ( where all hearts would be connected in a common convergence and shift in consciousness ).
Close to 100,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed during our illegal war and self - serving occupation of Iraq. The heart of the relentless Iraqi insurgency are not terrorists but disenfranchised Iraqis who are fighting for their economic and political freedom against an outlaw superpower ~ the United States.
We have much innocent blood on our hands and in the process of this grand debacle ~ we have lost our soul and with it its moorings. Moorings firmly established in our founding documents.
Fortunately we now have a choice.
Dr. Ernest Partridge , who publishes the website, The Online Gadfly and co-edits the progressive website, The Crisis Papers clarifies this historic choice;
" The Bush-Cheney team regards the American public as an unorganized aggregate of passive dolts who can be led to believe whatever misinformation they are fed, and thereafter may be exploited as the privileged few gather wealth and power from the labor and skill of the rest of us.
There is another view: that the American nation is a community whose domestic tranquility and economic product arises from a foundation of cooperation, trust, mutual respect, and shared civic values.
This view, the traditional American view, is articulated in our founding document which affirms that "governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
And so we have established, in Lincoln's words, a government "of the people, by the people and for the people."
The decision of the American public on election day will determine which view of America will prevail ~ and a vote for John Kerry will be a significant step in returning to the original direction of our founding fathers.
The power of the truth brought down a deceptive Spanish Government last year and the power of the truth will bring down an equally deceptive and corrupt Bush administration on Tuesday ~ whose abuse of power, like Pandora's box, will not be fully known until the lid of secrecy comes off after the election.
Make no mistake about it ~ this election is a referendum on George Bush's performance as President over the past four years ~ and he has failed not only us but the founding fathers of our great republic.
Vote and let the power of your truth be heard.
