At this rare moment in history, the rightwing of the Republican Party controls the House, the Senate, the White House, and is very close to controlling the Supreme Court. There are only three checks and balances [left] in the federal system: the filibuster, Sandra Day O'Connor, and Anthony Kennedy : Ralph Neas, People for the American Way

O.K, we have our mandate but we are stalling out
on the Social Security push ~ so let's switch gears.
Time to remind people that you are the War President.
We have pulled the Ambassador to Syria and laid the
blame for Hariri's assassination on them ( even though
we know the Israeli's were knee deep in this ) Chuckle
Now, guess what, Syria and Iran are forming a ' common
front ' to confront threats from us .
We have them where we want them .
How lucky can we get ?
Iranian President Mohammad Reza Aref met with Syrian P. M. Naji al-Orari yesterday and said, I Quote "We are ready to help Syria on all grounds to confront threats. "
Of course, one of our senior officials announced today that
Iran and Syria have developed ballistic missiles that can destroy U.S. targets in Iraq as well as in nations aligned with Washington.
I thought I had plugged those leaks ~ but so what ~ we have
our preemptive first strike strategy and there's always a
risk when your playing power war games ( which is not
too unlike power political games ) but I digress .
So we need to move into Damascus, pronto.
Here's the argument you make to the public: Our preemptive war with Iraq was really just the first phase of our larger preemptive strategy in the Middle East.
In order to stabilize the region, rid it of cruel despots and ensure that terrorists don't get access to weapons of mass destruction, we must push westward into Syria ( which may very well be hiding those WMD's we couldn't find in Iraq )
Now this is when it gets juicy ~ when Iran comes to their defense we strike Iran quick and hard and wipe out their
Nuclear sites ( which the Israeli's have already identified )
and then it's clear sailing for Democracy in Iran .
They'll be throwing flowers to us in the streets ~ whoops,
Cheney used that with Iraq didn't he ~ scratch that .
Just make the Syrian war an extension of the Iraq war. You've already laid the groundwork by accusing Syria of harboring senior Iraqi officials.
Besides, Syria has clear ties to terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. And there's a lot of evidence that Syria has chemical weapons. You said so yourself (more laying of groundwork).
D'ont worry about the Democrats. The war showed that they're comatose; so afraid of being labeled antiwar appeasers that we ran right over them.
I still can't get over how we baited Kerry into backing our preemptive war strategy, even knowing what he knows now .
What a wimp! He deserved to lose and now they have
chosen Dean as their party leader .
Now, that worry's me alittle because Dean is capable of waking up all those Americans we have fooled for so long ~ and, believe me, we need them to stay asleep. Chuckle
But I'm already taking action on that front by having Fox and
our other media outlets play his scream speech just often
enough to blemish his credibility ~ ( and I get paid for having so much fun )
The media will continue to give us a free ride. During the Iraq war, they fell over themselves trying to be patriotic. We can expect more of the same ~ the public is bored with the
growing war dead and wounded ~ they want more action so
let's take on Syria and Iran .
Sort of like the Roman Coliseum games during the Roman Empire ~ keep the people entertained with more bloodly
contests while we expand our empire. ( Chuckle )
By the way, Cheney and Rummy are in full agreement with me. Condi, of course, will do whatever we say and Alberto
is legally covering our rears.
As we speak, Goss is testifying on Capitol Hill and ramping up the fear of another terrorist attack. ( Chuckle )
Negroponte is the perfect fit for National Intelligence Director ~
( despite his involvement in covert funding of the Contras in Nicaragua and his covering up of human rights abuses carried out by CIA-trained operatives in Honduras in the 1980s )
He's a team player, will follow orders and won't rock the boat.
We'll build on his current success as Ambassador to Iraq and hopefully Congress will forget that Kissinger called him " my staff expert on Vietnam ". ( Chuckle )
Everything is in place,
So let's roll , big man .
