Being a Blogger is an act of love .
I love to write and nothing is more satisfying than writing
a daily commentary on what I feel is important ~ knowing
that hundreds of people in over 25 countries are reading my
words whether they agree or disagree.
The Blogosphere is the last bastion of the truth and many
media columnists consider it their lifeline to the truth.
It is so easy to become an individual News Hub ~ which I and
many other bloggers have become ~ but it does demand a
commitment and tenacity to settle for nothing less than the
truth. And it does demand your own unique style.
If you write relevant and current information ~ Google will find
you ~ but you must do it consistently.
My mailing list started out with my friends and former clients
but soon expanded to thousands.
traffic since my weblog is on its menu ~ and the website
averages over 30,000 hits a month.
I also send out a daily summation of my current blog to my full
mailing list with a link to the full story on my blog.
I try to keep my correspondance reader friendly with easily
read 14 point type and generous use of blank space ~ as I'm
doing on this blog.
I will often use a political cartoon, as I am today, as a change
of pace and sometimes a spoof to lighten the heaviness of
todays chaotic world.
It takes me about two hours a day to read and review the
world news and then select my story for the next day.
Then it's just a matter of piecing it together, often with an
appropriate quote, and then sending it.
However, it is always in the context of a world that is
slowly surrendering to its innate need to unite and
cooperate with one another.
I have a very active private practice as a psychotherapist and
also guest host a national talk show TRUTHTALK every Monday
So why would I take the time to do a daily weblog ?
Because I'm committed to making a difference in all aspects of
my life and it's important to me that my voice and thoughts are
heard throughout the world ~ regardless if they fall on deaf
ears.
Teilhard de Chardin spoke of a time when all minds would be
connected throughout the planet ~ he called it the NOOSPHERE
and many call Teilhard the spiritual father of the Internet.
But what many don't know is that Teilhard saw the NOOSPHERE
as a prelude to the SOULOSPHERE ~ where all hearts would be
connected in a common convergence through LOVE.
Must not the constructive developments now taking place in
the Noosphere in the realm of sight and reason necessarily
also penetrate to the sphere of FEELING ?
Teilhard Future of Man
Self serious Libertarians have told me that I'm unrealistic and
that the the new age is passe' ~ but I beg to differ for quite simply,
to further evolve we must love. For love, as Teilhard clearly
states in his ' unrealistic manner ', is the fundamental
impulse of life.
Love has always been carefully eliminated from the realist
and positivist concepts of the world; but sooner or later we
shall have to acknowledge that it is the fundamental impulse
of life, or , if you prefer, the one natural medium in which the
rising course of evolution can proceed.
With love omitted, there is truly nothing ahead of us except
the forbidding prospect of standardization and enslavement ~
the doom of ants and termites.
It is through love and within love that we must look for the
deepening of our deepest self, in the life-giving coming
together of mankind.
Teilhard Future of Man
There can no longer be any doubts. The only means the
human race can survive and evolve is to yield to its deepest
propensity to unite and cooperate with one another.
This is our ultimate responsibility as human beings and
it is also my common message and responsibility as a
blogger.
