THE THREE PRETENDERS MUST FACE THE MUSIC

HEAR no truth, SPEAK no truth and SEE no truth .
Cheney, Bush and their mouthpiece Condi Rice as well as the supporting cast of a complacent press and zealous fundamental far right base ~ are all oblivious of the deterioating quagmire in Iraq as well as the consequences of our ongoing human rights violations.
No where is this denial more evident than Amnesty Internationals recent rightful condemnation of America's human rights abuses at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba ~ particularly after this agency was praised by Donald Rumsfeld in 2003.
"We know it's a repressive regime. Everyone in the world knows that. It's been that way for decades. Anyone who's read Amnesty International or any of the human rights organizations about how the regime of Saddam Hussein treats its people - heck, he used chemicals on his own people, as well as on his neighbors." - Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld 3/27/03
Pretender number one Dick Cheney
"For Amnesty International to suggest that somehow the United States is a violator of human rights, I frankly just don't take them seriously." -- Vice President Dick Cheney, 5/30/05
Pretender number two George Bush
AP - President Bush called a human rights report "absurd" for criticizing the United States' detention of terrorist suspects at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and said Tuesday the allegations were made by "people who hate America." "It's absurd. It's an absurd allegation. The United States is a country that promotes freedom around the world," Bush said of the Amnesty International report that compared Guantanamo to a Soviet-era gulag.
Pretender number Three Condi Rice
Whatever Cheney tells her to say ~ wrapped in the cloak of great sincerity ~ that America respects other nation's religious practices while the whole world knows we have and continue to trample innocent Muslims and their religious practices .
The three stooges of denial Cheney, Bush and Rice are all complicit in the rape and disintegration of Iraq as well as our precious self image and respect throughout the world.
It is time for an intervention and the only one that can burst their bubble of denial is IMPEACHMENT PROCEDINGS.
Ralph Nader and Kevin Zeese write, in the New York Times on 5/31/05, of the need for a full debate on the ' I " word ~ impeachment.
" THE IMPEACHMENT of President Bush and Vice President Cheney, under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, should be part of mainstream political discourse.
Minutes from a summer 2002 meeting involving British Prime Minister Tony Blair reveal that the Bush administration was ''fixing" the intelligence to justify invading Iraq.
US intelligence used to justify the war demonstrates repeatedly the truth of the meeting minutes -that evidence was thin and needed fixing ... It is time for Congress to investigate the illegal Iraq war as we move toward the third year of the endless quagmire that many security experts believe jeopardizes US safety by recruiting and training more terrorists. A Resolution of Impeachment would be a first step. Based on the mountains of fabrications, deceptions, and lies, it is time to debate the ''I" word. "
We cannot afford this denial any longer ~ the three pretenders must face the music.
