IRAQ IS BUSH'S WAR / NOT AMERICA'S WAR
No "terrorist" gene is known to exist or is likely to be found... Surely the(y), and their supporters were afflicted by something that caused their metamorphosis from normal human beings capable of gentleness and affection into desperate, maddened, fiends with nothing but murder in their hearts and minds. What was that? Simple logic says that we must go to the roots of terror. After watching Bush speak yesterday about the looming threat of worldwide terrorism , which he himself has instigated with his illegal war and occupation of Iraq, I fully realized that this is Bush's personal war ~ not America's war.
Let me remind you that Iraq is an illegally occupied country with an American appointed interim government which later became the illegal official government while still under the iron rule of American occupation.
The root of this insurgency ( which Bush calls terrorism ) is the millions of Iraqis who want their country back and decide their own fate ~ without American interference.
These are not desperate, maddened, fiends with nothing but murder in their hearts and minds ~ they are insurgents fighting for freedom and their country.
We are the terrorists in the eyes of millions of Iraqis who want to reclaim their own country ~ a country which has been severely disenfranchised under Bremer's 100 illegal executive orders.
14 permanent military bases have almost been completed in Iraq ~ and Iraqis know their so-called government is a complete charade created only to create the pretense of democracy while America pillages its precious oil and intrastructure.
The Constitutional elections are a farce ~ and guess who is counting the votes .
Don't let Bush's words fool you ~ this is Bush and Cheney's war and its fueled by their own greed, global ambitions and paranoia . And their principle means of selling this war still is FEAR ~ whose drumbeat is sounding more hollow every day.
And where does America stand on this illegal war conceived from outright lies , deceptions , rationalized dishonesty and blatant hypocrisy ~ which still continue unabated.
Here are the current numbers;
59% of Americans now think it was a mistake to have sent our troops to Iraq
63% of Americans believe the troops should be partially or completely withdrawn
21% of Americans believe we will win the war ~ which means that 79% of Americans feel we will lose it.
32% approve of Bush's handling of Iraq ~ which means 68% disapprove of bush's handling of Iraq.
Bush and Cheney's self serving and illegal war is costing Americans 5.6 billion a month at the human cost of 1,942 dead Americans, close to 20,000 seriously maimed and wounded American soldiers and close to 100,000 killed and maimed Iraqi civilians.
But the greatest cost has been to America's self-respect and standing in the world community ~ a world community who thought that fascism had ended with the defeat of Hitler in the 1940's but now watch with horror as another self proclaimed god appointed savior leads his voiceless country into the dark abyss of fascism.
Remember, we do have a voice and another choice .
This is not America's war ~ it's Bush & Cheney's war so find your voice and let's end it .
