Allen L Roland's Radio Weblog
My ongoing theme is always the truth , as I see it , and the exposure of lies, deception and manipulation wherever they exist. I remain firmly convinced that the world can no longer resist its innate urge to unite and co-operate with one another and we are very close to the point where war can no longer be an option if this transformation is to occur. IRAQ /  WHAT 2000  DEATHS  MEAN

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence, it is force; like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action : George Washington

We have just experienced the 2000th American death in the Cheney/Bush illegal war and occupation of Iraq ~ The 2,000 Americans killed in combat in Iraq since 2003 are more than were lost in Vietnam combat in the first four years of U.S. combat (1961-1965, when just over 1800 died). This total is also more than were lost in the last two years of combat (1971-1972, when just over 1600 died .

Note: The human toll for the U.S. military in the Iraq war is not limited to the 2,000 troops deaths since the March 2003 invasion. More than 15,220 also have been wounded in combat, including more than 7,100 injured too badly to return to duty, the Pentagon said. It also does not count those who died in transit to care or while in care ~ which would bring the total death count closer to 10,000 deaths.

What do these 2000 deaths mean ?

It means that we all have their blood on our hands ~ because we continue to condone the irresponsible actions of the Cheney/Bush administration which, as a result, has become our fearful and unrestrained master.

Here again is a must see short but powerful video ( with music by Pink Floyd ) that will fully bring this tragic human waste home to you ~ as it most certainly did with me.

Please feel free to share this short video with others ~ it is well worth the short wait as it loads.

82% IRAQIS STRONGLY OPPOSE U.S. OCCUPATION

The bombings are accelerating, the number of dead are mounting and the Cheney/Bush administration continues to spin that progress is being made everyday ~ when in actuality the hole keeps getting deeper each day.

Remember, the first law of holes is to stop digging.

Here are legitimate poll numbers from the Telegraph, UK ~ courtesy of The Progressive Review ~ and they reveal that over 82% of Iraqis " strongly oppose " our illegal occupation of their country.

ONLY ONE PERCENT OF IRAQIS THINK WEST IS HELPING SITUATION

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/10/23/wirq23.xml&;sSheet=/portal/2005/10/23/ixportaltop.html

SEAN RAYMENT, TELEGRAPH - Millions of Iraqis believe that suicide attacks against British troops are justified, a secret military poll commissioned by senior officers has revealed.

The poll, undertaken for the Ministry of Defense and seen by The Sunday Telegraph, shows that up to 65 per cent of Iraqi citizens support attacks and fewer than one per cent think Allied military involvement is helping to improve security in their country.

The nationwide survey also suggests that the coalition has lost the battle to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people, which Tony Blair and George W Bush believed was fundamental to creating a safe and secure country. . .

The survey was conducted by an Iraqi university research team that, for security reasons, was not told the data it compiled would be used by coalition forces. It reveals:

- Forty-five per cent of Iraqis believe attacks against British and American troops are justified - rising to 65 per cent in the British-controlled Maysan province;

- 82 per cent are "strongly opposed" to the presence of coalition troops;

- less than one per cent of the population believes coalition forces are responsible for any improvement in security;

- 67 per cent of Iraqis feel less secure because of the occupation;

- 43 per cent of Iraqis believe conditions for peace and stability have worsened;

- 72 per cent do not have confidence in the multi-national forces.
