We have been asleep for too long
We have forfeited our freedom for a false security
We have been lulled to sleep by a neo-conservative
pipedream of world domination.

perishes, one condition may always be found -
they forgot where they came from . They lost sight
of what brought them along.

America was conceived by men who believed in themselves
and their destiny.
They took a stand on human and spiritual values despite
great risk, aloneness and personal hardship.
The hope of America lies within the hearts of its people -
not within the walls of its institutions.

Time Magazine asked Americans this week Do you approve the
way George W Bush is handling his job as President ?
57% disapproved and 36 % approved.

We have a choice !
We have been lied to and deceived by the Bush Administration
for much too long ~ particularly in regards to Iraq.
We can begin to reign in the four horseman of Hubris ( Bush, Cheney,Rumsfeld and Rice ) by simply voting Republicans out of office in November.
It's that simple !

As Abraham Lincoln said ~ we, the people are the rightful
masters of both Congress and the courts and it is our
responsibility to overthrow the men who pervert our
constitution .

It is now a matter of life and death and people like George
Soros ~ who have lived through the loss of freedom ~ are
among the many, including myself, who are deeply concerned
and committed to a needed change in direction ;
The Hungarian born financier and philanthropist describes the Bush administration's policies as a crude form of social Darwinism. " I call it crude because it ignores the role of co-operation in the survival of the fittest, and puts all the emphasis on competition."
He also explains why the current administration is so much at odds with the driving ideology of his worldwide Open Society Institute.
" The supremacist ideology of the Bush Administration stands in opposition to the principles of an open society, which recognise that people have different views and that nobody is in possession of the ultimate truth," he writes. " When President Bush says, as he does frequently, that freedom will prevail, he means that America will prevail. Unlike other critics who have made casual comparisons between the Bush White House and the Nazis, Mr Soros speaks with some authority - he survived the German occupation of Budapest as a boy.

Our future is now ~ and each one of us must let his/her voice be heard or the candle we have lighted for the world will soon flicker and be extinguished.
