WHY WE SHOULD NOT SUPPORT IRAQ OCCUPATION / IT'S BASED ON LIES

The preemptive war and occupation of Iraq in 2003 ( based on lies) has brought us to the doorstep of oppression ~ the full extent of which will not be known until the investigations begin.
It reminds me of this this famous quote from Hitler's minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels ~ a position that Karl Rove now holds with George W Bush ~ " If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."
In review, here are the three principle reasons why we should not be supporting this illegal war and occupation of Iraq:
Would Americans still support the occupation if they saw this BBC interview (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/4354269.stm) with oil consultant Falah Aljibury, who hosted secret meetings where the State Department and oil tycoons were drawing up documents that would divide up Iraq's oil within weeks of Bush's taking office in 2001?
Or if they saw these 2001 video clips (http://www.thememoryhole.org/war/powell-rice-wmd.wmv) of both Condoleezza Rica and Colin Powell announcing at press conferences that Saddam Hussein was "completely contained " and couldn't even threaten his neighbors with conventional weapons"?
Or if they saw the video of Rumsfeld shaking hands with Hussein (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article2038.htm), just prior to brokering the deals that would arm Hussein with good old made-in-the-USA anthrax, botulism, gas gangrene, cholera and nuclear detonators -- the complete list of which has been provided by Senator Robert Byrd (http://aliberaldose.blogspot.com/2004/08/how-we-came-to-own-iraq.html)?
Fortunately, those WMD were destroyed in the presence of UN inspectors before they were ever deployed on civilians.
Or if they finally realized that the Cheney/Bush Administration has blatantly and repeated lied to us about them as a pretext for this disastrous misadventure that has now cost over 3200 American and untold hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives.
We continue to sanction this ongoing lie and crime against humanity at the risk of our rapidly diminishing national honor and a complete loss of moral integrity .
