NO BUT'S, NO WHAT IF'S ~ IT'S TIME TO GO !
There comes a time when the answer becomes so obvious that it is impossible to ignore. No more denial, no more wishful thinking, no more patriotic blather, no more but's and no more what if's regarding our illegal occupation of Iraq ~ quite simply, it's time to go ! Allen L Roland
Bush will not take his hand out of the Iraq Monkey trap ~ holding onto the black gold inside with his greedy clinched fist and ignoring that his party is disintegrating, the country and the world have turned against him and his own soldiers are now openly saying that his war is lost ~ http://www.informationliberation.com/?id=21844
Make no mistake about it ~ when Bush signed Executive order # 13303 in May of 2003 it was truly Mission Accomplished by Cheney & Co ~ for it declares that Iraqi oil is the unassailable province of U.S. oil companies. Read THE SMOKING GUN / EXECUTIVE ORDER # 13303
What was the only ministry we protected when we invaded Iraq ? The oil ministry .
What was the first priority to protect when we invaded Iraq ? The oil wells.
Why was their virtually no post war plan after we occupied Iraq ? Because the primary objective was the oil .
There is a device in India known as south Indian monkey trap. It is a coconut shell, tethered to a pole and with a hole in the centre. A small fruit or nut is put in it. A Monkey will put its hand through the hole, grab hold of the fruit or nut. The hole is small enough that the monkey cannot take its hand out with the closed fist. The monkey is trapped, simply because it is not smart enough to release the nut so that it can escape, usually from certain death. Letting go of the fruit can save their life ~ and they usually don't..
Since Bush won't voluntarily remove his hand from the Iraq Monkey trap ~ it's time to sever it by de-authorizing the war immediately and Congress has the authority to do just that ~ as Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico continues to demand ~ " Congress should de-authorize the war today and demand that the President begin redeploying our troops. There would be no need to negotiate the withdrawal with the President, and he could not veto the resolution."

De-Authorize the War Now, No Residual Troops
By Gov. Bill Richardson http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article17658.htm
05/05/07 "HP" --- I first called for de-authorization of the war in Iraq in January, and I have repeated that call all around the country -- because I believe immediate de-authorization and removing all of our troops from Iraq this year is the only way to end Bush's war.
Congress should de-authorize the war today and demand that the President begin redeploying our troops.
There would be no need to negotiate the withdrawal with the President, and he could not veto the resolution.
The time has has come for Congress to stand up to this President who refuses to recognize that his war is bleeding our military and weakening our country. He believes mere stubbornness is a foreign policy and that he can just ignore the will of the American people. In the interest of our national security, he must be stopped.
Congress has the ability to end this war under the War Powers Act -- let's not wait or waver while more people die. And de-authorizing the war should mean removing all our troops. Every last one.
This is essential, because our presence in Iraq worsens the violence and enables our enemies to portray us as imperialist occupiers. If we announce that we are getting out completely, we undercut this propaganda. We need to get all our troops out of the crossfire of this civil war.
Anything less than immediate de-authorization, and beginning the process to remove all troops, is not a real plan to end this war. I know this region well, and understand how people there see the world.
I have served as US Ambassador to the UN, President Clinton's Special Envoy, and as Secretary of Energy. I have been there. I even met with Saddam Hussein and secured the release of hostages. I applaud Senators Clinton and Byrd's steps to begin the process of getting us out of this disastrous war. But I urge them and their colleagues in Washington to commit to the full task at hand: Immediate de-authorization, and the removal of all U.S. troops.
