OBAMA CONNECTS WITH US ALL AT A DEEP VISCERAL LEVEL
|
Barack Obama has the ability to connect with people at a deep visceral level, beyond conscious reasoning, which explains his immense popularity and voter support for millions already know and trust his presence and obvious substance : Allen L Roland
Barack Obama connects with people because he touches them deeply but it's not just his obvious substance, intelligence and eloquence ~ it's his ability to connect on a deep visceral level that relates to inner feelings rather than just conscious reasoning.
I would also call it being authentic and real and children pick this up immediately in people ~ Obama obviously knows and trusts himself. The reason John McCain tries to put down Obama's eloquence is because McCain does not have that ability to connect on this deep visceral level with voters ~ which is why he ultilizes fear, mud slinging and character attacks.
Julian Gavaghan, The Daily Mail UK , wrote "Barack Obama made history again... drawing the highest American crowd of this year's presidential campaign."
How refreshing it is to watch our next president and not wince in embarrassment or anguish as I have done with Bush for the last eight years and instead feel elevated and inspired by Obama's very presence. Obama raises the bar of substance for all Americans whereas Bush and McCain have lowered that bar.
Obama now leads in newspaper endorsements 66 to 18 including the giant Los Angeles Times and Chicago Tribune on Friday afternoon, the New York Daily News, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer, Portland's The Oregonian, Denver Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Salt Lake Tribune, Kansas City Star, Southwest News-Herald (Ill.) and Chicago Sun-Times late Friday or Saturday.
Here is an excerpt from the the LA Times endorsement ~ " We may one day look back on this presidential campaign in wonder. We may marvel that Obama's critics called him an elitist, as if an Ivy League education were a source of embarrassment, and belittled his eloquence, as if a gift with words were suddenly a defect. In fact, Obama is educated and eloquent, sober and exciting, steady and mature. He represents the nation as it is, and as it aspires to be."
Nowhere was that humaness more evident than in this week's Al Smith Testimonial Dinner in New York ~ where Obama, in white tie, delighted the audience with his ability to make fun of himself while still being eloquent, sincere and presidential.
I watched this ten minute video and found myself openly laughing and appreciative that finally we have a presidential candidate who can not only inspire me with his vision, substance and obvious intelligence but also his genuine sense of humor. Click on ~
