THE OBAMA MOVEMENT MUST BECOME A SOCIAL MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE

The Obama economic 'Dream Team' has a decidedly Clintonista centrist feel to it which means the Obama progressive movement must become a people's social movement for change in order to push back the establishment and status quo and instigate bottom up pressure for true change: Allen L Roland
The Obama ' Dream Team ' has a decided Clintonista centrist look to it and progressives, like myself, are feeling increasingly dismayed.
Mike Whitney calls them Rubin-clones And Other Fakers and comments ~ " Does Paulson think he can "turn off" the public's pessimism like a light switch? Does Bernanke think he can get people to spend themselves further into debt by lowering interest rates? It can't be done. And the Obama camp is going to run into the same brick wall. The nation's confidence has been shaken and people are developing a bunker mentality... How quickly the markets rebound will depend on how fast Obama's team grasps that the system needs deep structural change and a banking system that is not paralyzed with debt " http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article21334.htm
This is a dream team that is committed to inflating the same debt bubble that just collapsed and there is not a progressive change agent among them.
Fortunately, the always informed Amy Goodman brings this question to a head with a classic 30 minute must-see Democracy Today November 25th interview with Naomi Klein, Robert Kuttner and Michael Hudson ~ which should be required viewing for all concerned progressives.
