BUSH IS ANOTHER DORIAN GRAY / SELF DESTRUCTIVE UNTIL THE END

Like the portrait of Dorian Gray ~ there is a frightened moral coward behind those vacant eyes of George W Bush who has been terrified his whole life of a giant wave that is about to crash down on him ~ and on that wave are these words You're A Failure : Allen L Roland
Every business venture of George W Bush has failed and now his spiteful Oil grab and Iraq war of institutionalized revenge is beyond failure, the economy has tanked on his watch, his popularity is at an all time low and he has nowhere to hide. So in his last act of spiteful defiance, rather than face his failures, he authorizes Israel to attack Gaza as a reminder to the world that he is still the decider while morally infuriating the majority of the world with his actions.
Mark Morford, SF Gate columnist, sums up Bush appropriately ~ " Bush is that most peculiar and disquieting of exit portraits, a slumpy little guy initially thought to be a middling and relatively harmless puppet, suddenly thrust into history's limelight by the most dire of events, who then squandered every drop of global goodwill and violated most every international law and whored away the very soul of the nation with far more dazzling, efficient success than anyone could have ever imagined." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2009/01/02/notes010209.DTL&;nl=fix
In the gothic horror story The Portrait of Dorian Gray ( the only published novel written by Oscar Wilde ) a corrupt young man somehow keeps his youthful beauty eternally by selling his soul to the devil, but a special painting of himself gradually reveals his inner ugliness to all and finally he destroys both himself and the painting ~ rather than facing the truth of his actions.
Now let's make the perfect analogy with George W Bush ~ Deciding that only a full confession would truly absolve him from his disastrous presidency, but lacking any feelings of guilt and fearing the consequences, he decides to destroy the last vestige of his conscience ~ the Presidency itself by authorizing Israel's brutal assault on Gaza as a parting gift to Obama but, in reality, his last act of self destruction.
It has been the desire of Israel and Washington to eradicate Hamas as a political force for a long time. The current military assault is but the latest installment in fulfilling that intention ~ and Lame Duck Bush could care less who he alienates in the process. But we must also realize that Israel has no intention of allowing a viable, sovereign Palestinian state on its borders.

Bush, like Dorian Gray, will eventually have to come face to face with himself and the consequences of his actions over the last eight years ~ and hopefully it will before an International tribunal.
