JON STEWART CRUCIFIES CRAMER AND NETWORK JOURNALISM

Jon Stewart, Daily Show, rightfully crucifies Jim Cramer, Mad Money CNBC, and stunningly reveals the unregulated chaos and hypocrisy of Wall Street as well as the obvious complicity of Network Journalism: Allen L Roland
On March 12, Jon Stewart of The Daily Show discussed a serious problem ~ financial news networks like CNBC that promote Wall Street propaganda as entertainment and then blame the financial crisis on "losers" who couldn't make their mortgage payments.
So Stewart took on Jim Cramer of CNBC; the interview was a searing indictment of Network Journalism that struck a chord for millions of Americans who now see Wall Street as a giant unregulated crapshoot and Cramer as a shameless TV huckster for this casino of greed.
As Leslie Savan, wrote Friday in The Nation," Stewart is often praised, and rightly so, for doing what reporters should be doing ~ James Fallows just wrote that Stewart has become Edward R. Murrow ~ but his rise as a tribune of the people has less to do with his own virtues than it does with the remarkable failure of American journalism under George W. Bush. Stewart is not a reporter, nor a financial expert.
