Many people do not have the courage to live their dreams but I most certainly do and it has made me the satisfied man I am today. However, becoming a Navy carrier pilot was only a prelude to my deepest dream ~ fully opening my heart and ultimately becoming a fragment of life's heart in the process: Allen L Roland
Flying in the Navy was a dream come true. I used to draw pictures of airplanes as a child and when I became a Navy high Altitude all-weather Interceptor ~ flying off the Carrier in my F3H single place Demon ~ it was the ultimate thrill for I was, indeed, an Eagle flying beyond the speed of sound.
I flew mostly night and all weather Instrument hops ~ so a day like you see pictured here was a delightful piece of cake.
Everything on the carrier revolves around the pilots and the planes ~ the deck crew all have their specific tasks but the common goal is getting that plane safely catapulted and later safely back on board.

I'll never forget one particular early morning dawn launch on the South China Sea. I was strapped into my Jet on the number one catapult watching the carrier slowly turn into the wind ~ a prerequisite for take off.
My canopy was up, I could feel the delightful fresh breeze from the sea and tears began flowing down my cheeks. I realized I was truly living my dream and there was nothing I could not do ~ if I set my heart and mind to it as I most certainly had on becoming a Navy fighter pilot.
That moment was instrumental in my finally living my ultimate dream ~ finding the courage to fully surrender to love and eventually share the great truth I knew and deeply felt as a young child ~ that the basic underlying and uniting force of the Universe is a psychic energy field of Love and Soul Consciousness ( The Unified Field ) which exists not only beyond time and space but also beneath our deepest fears ~ and whose principle property is the universal urge to unite.
And in living and owning this dream for the past 30 years, as a psychotherapist and author ~ my heart has finally become a fragment of life's heart and I am, once again, an Eagle ~ but now I'm flying beyond the speed of light as well as sound for within a Unified Field of love, there is no time and space ~ for the speed of light is now a condition of state within this timeless field of love and soul consciousness.
