"Jonah" and "Dr Omed" have been playing "Dueling Blogs" of late. Keep an eye on Jonah's site Love during Wartime and you will likely find out more about the dark past of His Loveliness the Pope (SDAABS) than you ever will here at the Tent Show, assuming any of you pilgrims are the slightest bit interested. And Dr. Omed has his file of bar napkins and... other things - collected during his long aquaintance with Jonah, which will appear periodically in the Dromedary Syndicate.
Jonah posted some thoughts on our aliases and "the shifting nature of identity" in Who am I this Time? and What's in a Name? Made me think of an old poem of Yeats:
THE MASK 'Put off that mask of burning gold
With emerald eyes.'
'O no, my dear, you make so bold
To find if hearts be wild and wise,
And yet not cold.'
'I would but find what's there to find,
Love or deceit.'
'It was the mask engaged your mind,
And after set your heart to beat,
Not what's behind.'
'But lest you are my enemy,
I must enquire.'
'O no, my dear, let all that be;
What matter, so there is but fire
In you, in me?' W.B. Yeats
