GUEST POET: WARREN BROWN
The President Lies About Iraq
Remember when the president used only to lie about sex?
Ah, different days different president
All things change all things pass
The slippery sex lies now slippery oil lies
Nine-hundred million needed to import oil and gas to so richly blessed a place in both
Blessed by whom you ask, Whom the eternal Whomness who forgives
Anything but misplaced affection and misplaced cigars
As tankers hugely cigar shaped get shipshape for carrying lovely oil to Iraq
Have we got it backwards sexy, oily lies God sent and God inspired
Stick that tanker in there lovely sand land but don't tell the wife and kids
Ah, remembrance of sex and prosperity
Dust in the mouth now oily dust
Not even a blue dress to tell the tail
