Pilgrims, do you remember this Op Ad put out by TomPaine.com back in September 2002?
I liked it so much when I saw it I made copies and plastered it on every telephone pole for two miles up and down Peoria St. in the Brookside restaurant district here in Tulsa. Of course, angry patriots tore the xeroxed posters down almost as fast as I could put them up. So I had to do it again.
Recent events brought this broadside to mind. You will notice that almost all of the predictions it made have come true.
New generation of recruits.
Check.
Hatred of America fueled.
Check.
Americans not safe anywhere.
Check.
America distracted from fighting Al Qaeda.
Check.
International community divided.
Check.
Middle east region destabilized.
Check.
Pakistan has not fallen...yet. Islamic terrorists do not have possession of its nuclear weapons...yet. Saddam didn't strike first, but of course it turned out he didn't really have any WMDs. Saddam didn't draw Israel into a fight, but Israel is doing its best to draw us into a fight they haven't been able to win for fifty years.
