The estimable Dick Jones (Patteran Pages) has graced the Tent Show with this addition to the Fifth Sentence Poetry Series:
the fifth sentence
at night
the owls made of it
an echoing throat
by day it stood voiceless
and cast its long shadow
she pulled some more feathers
and watched them
float
around
her
toes.
tony blair sighs:
(molly had called him)
my journeys
as often as not
have been by train.
(in the week since his arrival,
this was only the second time
he had seen her –
but what is love
if not instant recognition?)
there is
however
an alternative view
namely
that the world was imperfect from the start
that the blame
lies not with man
but with god
the creator
but what is love
if not instant recognition?
molly
had
called
him
