DR. OMED, JONAH, AND PAULAPALOOZA

AT CONESTOGA THIS AFTERNOON.
My wife Elspeth took this picture. Somehow she always manages to catch that deer-in-the-headlights look. The blogging panel went very well, and I think everyone had a fine time. We had a digital projector hooked to a laptop with a wireless connection, so the audience could see our blogs as we spoke about them. Several people I had not suspected were revealed as fellow bloggers, including Amanda Gannon and M.K. Kare. Author, artist, and poet Suzette Haden Elgin attended, and asked alot of good questions. She's thinking about starting a blog, and I wish she would. Jonah drove up from Oklahoma City, and Paula traveled two-and-a-half hours from her home in Kansas to join us. Above and beyond the call. Verily, I say unto them, they shall receive their reward. We met Paula's husband (a SF fan, as it turns out) as well as the Thing One and Thing Two, because she brought them with her. I would write more, pilgrims and seekers, but my brain is melting--I need a vacation to recover from my vacation.
