THE TENT SHOW GRAB BAG OF WORD CANDY

with Dr. Omed’s Patented Oil of Prosody

LINES WE’D LIKE TO HEAR

FROM GEORGE BUSH IN THE NEXT TWO DEBATES

We begin bombing in five minutes.

Wait, wait, don’t tell me!

Do-overs!

Want to see my nipple rings?

Alex, I’ll take Gay Marriage for ten…

Tag, you’re it!

It’s been a hard day’s night and I’ve been working like a dog.

You didn’t say Mother-May-I.

Do you think this podium makes my ass look big?

I know you are but what am I?

Pat, I’d like to buy a vowel…

Nanny nanny boo boo!

What’s the frequency, Kenneth?

Why isn’t this damn ear piece working, Karl?

Thank you?

POST DEBATE NOTE

Thanks to all for the feedback in the comment box on the LIGHT A CANDLE post. I didn't see the debate; I was at work until after 9 pm Thursday. I listened to it on the radio in my "windowless cubicle in hell." I didn't have any candles, or even matches (don't smoke), but I did make several mystic passes over the radio. I don't need an effing candle, I'm the pope!

I think Kerry did hit one out of the park, but we still have a couple of innings to go. As to Dubya's performance at the plate, what we had there was a Bush beating around itself.

I was going to put up a post last night, but Els and I went to the Tulsa State Fair after work, and I was whipped when we got home. Had a lovely time, tho', and took lots of pictures--expect a photoessay at Roadside Attractions. But right now there are Saturday household chores to do.
