SCENIC TULSA: MIMOSAS BLOOM IN JUNE Many people consider Mimosas to be trash trees on the order of "Bradford Pear" aka Underwear Trees (which bloom in early spring) the blossoms of which smell rather like pre-worn underwear. Mimosas do litter the ground with their fuzzy blossoms in a rather untidy way, but I like them. They don't smell like underwear. I like to stand under them and listen, at firefly time on a summer night. The breeze sings differently through their leaves than other trees.   12:37:02 AM    comment []
