The Broken Arrow Expressway is one of Tulsa's main thoroughfares. A railway runs through part of it, from Lewis and 15th St, past Harvard, and Yale and 31st until the highway curves away from the railroad's excuse the expression straight-arrow path less than a quarter-mile from Sheridan. The railroad line is smack dab between the opposing lanes of traffic for a couple of miles. I drive to work and come home by way of the BA, as Tulsans abbreviate it, almost every day. Trains are frequently parked along that section of the railroad, for some reason or other, and sometimes, if traffic will allow me to pull over safely, I will stop, walk up and down the line, and inspect the railcars for interesting graffiti, and take pictures.
